This weekend is a wonderful celebration of the Easter Bunny, Jesus’ resurrection from the grave, and the beginning of spring. Here’s some favorite places to go celebrate with the children in the Centennial and Denver area.

*Children’s Museum – Bunny Trail EGGventure – Saturday, April 3rd, 10am – 5 pm – Jump, hop and bounce from one “eggsploration station” to the next. Egg dyeing, animal friends, arts & crafts, music, candy, stories with the Big Bunny and more.
*Heritage Square – Easter Egg Scramble
Saturday April 3, 2010 – Starts at 11:00 A.M.
Meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs filled with candy or prizes.
*Denver Zoo - Sunday, April 4 – Free with admission.
Hop into Denver Zoo and watch the zoo animals including mongoose, polar bears, otters, Arctic foxes and primates get their annual Easter treat – colored eggs! 10 am to 1:15 pm weather permitting
*Highlands Ranch - Easter Egg Hunt at Northridge Park – Starts Sharp at 10 am – Children between 0-11 years are welcome. There will be a special appearance of the Easter Bunny. Members Free – General Public $5.00 – Register
*Easter Bunny Breakfast at Arapahoe Community College - starting at 8 am – The event will include food, games, an Easter egg hunt and a chance to have a photo taken with the Easter Bunny. The breakfast costs $2 per person. Sign up by Friday, April 2nd.
*Parker Easter Egg Hunt - Eight local Parker churches join together each year to create this fun free Easter Egg Hunt for the kids of Parker. Your child will be able to play games, win prizes and see the Easter Bunny. April 3, 2010 – Come promptly at 10:30 am – FREE – O’Brien Park at Parker Road and Mainstreet.
*Wildlife Experience – Spring EGGstravanganza - Guests of all ages will participate in springtime games and crafts and visit egg stations throughout the museum with the price of admissions.
*Red Rocks – Sunrise Service - In 2010, the annual Easter Sunrise service will be held on Sunday, April 4. Music begins at 6:00 AM. Gates at Red Rocks will open at 4:30 AM. You may begin entering the amphitheatre at 4:30 a.m. This is an outdoor service — dress warmly!
*Stapleton Egg Scramble - Saturday, April 3! The Green will be filled with 8,000 eggs filled with Easter toys and candy, supplied by Sunny Bunny. The event is so popular the Easter Bunny is even going to be there. Beginning at 10:00 AM, the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures while everyone anticipates the beginning of the Scramble that starts at 11:00 AM.
*Cherry Creek Jaycees – Del Mar Park - April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. – Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Delmar Park in Aurora
*Roxborough Park - 10 am – The Easter Bunny will come and pass out gifts to the kids, so be sure to bring your camera. The cost is $7.00 per child and includes, one dozen eggs stuffed with candy and prizes, one piñata per age group, a gift from the Easter Bunny, and prizes for games! There will be a cake walk, so please bring a baked good (cake, cupcakes, cookies, etc…)
*Washington Park - 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt – Join us on Saturday, April 3rd from 1:00pm-3:00pm for the 1st Annual Wash Park Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by New Denver Church! Anyone and everyone is invited. We will literally have THOUSANDS of eggs filled with treats plus face painting, free professional photographer, games, music, drinks, snacks, & more!
*Nightlight Egg Hunt & Minature Golf at Colorado Journey - On Friday, April 2, from 6-9 pm, join the fun of miniature golf at twilight and hunt for eggs under the stars. Ages 4 and under start hunting at 6 pm, the search for ages 5-8 will start at 6:30 pm, and kids over 9 years will begin hunting at 7 pm. Parents are welcome and don’t forget your flashlight.
